LISA ANDERSON
I am an artist who has come to photography rather late in life. I first picked up a point and shoot in junior high on a trip to Joshua Tree National Forest but didn't progress to full photo addict until my children were born. I got my first "real" camera around 2007. I've been fully in love ever since. I love to observe artist's work that elicits emotion and so that is what I strive to create in my own works. Art has been a great form of expression and even therapy for me at times too. Specifically in my series "MLC" representing my own struggles with middle life crisis a couple of years ago. My greatest joys come from photographing individuals and capturing an interpretation of their essence as well as in photographing places that other's may consider abandoned but speak to me. My love of photography was nurtured by Ron Zak and the exceptional photography family at Solano Community College.
