Picture
I take great pride and joy in designing jewelry using silver clay.
The finished work and each step in the process is exciting and
surprising. The medium is a putty like binder which holds microscopic
particles of fine silver. The metal clay is shaped and sculpted and
fired in a kiln to sinter the silver and burn away the binder. What
is left is a 99.9% solid silver piece of unique jewelry.

I begin a piece by sketching a design for a necklace, bracelet or
earrings. All of my work is one of a kind since I dont use molds.
Even my earrings are fraternal rather than identical . I am guided in
my designs by whimsy and balance.

My work is my play and my favorite tools are my hands. Constructing  silver jewelry out of metal clay                             allows me to combine imagination,  playfulness and function . I feel successful when I create wearable
art that is truly one of a kind.
